As per the ISO standard 340/341/342, and also to meet the requirements set down by the Food Safety Authority, we have designed the FETAC Level 4 Handling Food Hygienically course to give each trainee a good understanding from a theory and practical assessment point of view. The purpose of this award is to equip the trainee with the skill, competence and knowledge to prepare and handle food safely and hygienically. People who prepare, serve, handle and store food should sit this FETAC Level 4 course.

Guardian Safety is a FETAC registered training Provider and all instructors are fully qualified trainers having achieved Level 6 in the national Framework of Qualifications.

Who Should Attend
This Handling Food Hygienically course is designed for those who have a responsibility for managing food safety, and also people involved in food preparation, service of food, handling and storage. Employees from the hotel and catering industry would be ideal candidates for this course. Any employees whose job entails the handling of food or food preparation.
Participants will be assessed on practical skills demonstrations (20%) and by written theory examination (80%).
A “FETAC Level 4 Certificate in Handling Food Hygienically” is awarded to participants who successfully complete this course.
It is recommended to refresh training at intervals not greater than 3 years.
DVD and lap/top projector are used. Extensive notes on Handling Food Hygienically are available to all participants.
