Course Overview: Manual Handling Instructor Refresher Course gives instructors the opportunity to review their skills and have them assessed by our MHI trainer. The course will look at legislation in more detail and will review the Risk Assessment process, looking at new and old equipment, which has been introduced to reduce the need to lift. We will also be looking at lifting techniques in more detail, and recent court cases involving manual handling accidents.
While the maximum duration for instructors to receive refresher training is 5 years, we would recommend, based on our experience, that instructor’s up skill/review their abilities on a more frequent basis. By attending this one day refresher course:

By attending this one day Manual Handling Instructor Refresher course, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment from other like-minded Manual Handling Instructors.
Return on investment: The investment on this course would usually be earned back after delivering only one manual handling session.
Limited Places: Places are limited, so early booking is advised.
Important: Please note this is not a RPL course. This course is specifically for those who hold a FETAC/QQI certificate in manual handling instruction.
