Primary Food Safety Training Course – HACCP Level 2
This Primary food safety training course HACCP Level 2 covers the skills required for all employees working in food service, retail, and manufacturing sectors. This training has been developed in line with the exact requirements of the Food Safety Authority of Irelands guidelines on food safety training. This HACCP course also include a free Optional Haccp Level 1 Food Safety Refresher.
How is the training deliverd
The Level 2 HACCP course is a 75-minute online course
An optional Level 1 HACCP Refresher is available at the start of the course which takes an additional 60 Minutes.
Participants can complete the training online on-demand via our bespoke LMS
Training Courses can also be delivered privately at your premises at any time.
Aim
The aim of this Primary food safety training course HACCP Level 2 is to teach participants the food safety skills set down by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland’s Guide to Food Safety Training Level 2.
Primary food safety training course HACCP Level 2 Objectives
On completion of this HACCP Level 1 course participants will be able to:
- Identify the risks and hazards in food preparation
- Understand how food poisoning occurs and the main causes of food contamination
- Explain why the correct storage, preparation, handling and cooking of food is so important
- Identify a pest infestation and know to control it
- Understand the importance of cleaning and cleaning schedules
- Outline prerequisites to HACCP and the 7 principles of HACCP
- Understand the requirements for establishing a HACCP system
- Outline the importance of implementing and maintaining a HACCP system

Certification
On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate titled “HACCP Level 2 Training” which will be awarded by Guardian Safety. This Cert will be valid for 3 years.
We issue a digital certification & all certificates are kept on file and can be resent if misplaced.
Refresher training is recommended at intervals of not greater than 3 years
Prerequisets
All participants must be fluent in English.
You will need a PC, Laptop, Smartphone, etc. with audio & Internet. Ensure a browser is running correctly (Google Chrome, firefox, etc)
Number of Participants Per Course for in person training
The maximum number of users per in-person course is 12.
