Aim

The aim of this Emergency First Aid Course is to equip Participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to use a range of practical first-aid skills which will enable them to deal competently and confidently with common injuries and illnesses. Learners will also be trained in the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and the action to take in the event of a person choking.

Training Methodology 

Our training includes both practical and interactive learning, giving all participants the confidence and ability to put theory into practice and to cope with real-life situations that might arise in the workplace, at home, or in the community. Our Emergency First Aid Training Course Instructors have years of real-life practical experience in emergency care services and tutoring all levels of learners for all types of backgrounds.

Assessment

This is a highly interactive course with an emphasis on practice and demonstration. Learners are continually assessed throughout the day.

Guardian Safety Trainers

Guardian Safety is a QQI registered training provider and all our trainers are fully qualified Occupational First Aid Instructors registered with OFAAA (The Occupational First Aid Assessment Agent)

Certification

On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate titled “Emergency First Aid Training” which will be awarded by Guardian Safety. This Cert will be valid for 2 years.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Number of Participants Per Course

The maximum number of users per course is 10.
