Basic Food Safety Training – HACCP Level 1

This Basic food safety HACCP Level 1 Food Safety and Hygiene training covers the skills required for all employees working in food service, retail, and manufacturing sectors. This training has been written and developed to meet the exact requirements of the Food Safety Authority of Irelands guidelines on food safety training.

How is the training deliverd

This is a 60-minute online course

Participants can complete the training online on-demand via our bespoke LMS

Training Courses can also be delivered privately at your premises at any time.

Aim

The aim of this basic food safety – HACCP Level 1 Training course is to introduce participants to food safety and hygiene issues. It is based on the training criteria set down by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland’s Guide to Food Safety Training Level 1.

Basic Food Safety HACCP Level 1 Course Objectives

On completion of this HACCP Level 1 course participants will be able to:

  • Explain why Food Safety is important
  • Maintain good personal hygiene
  • Describe food hygiene requirement
  • Identify the main food safety hazards
  • Implement control measures
  • Outline food safety practices

Basic Food Safety HACCP Level 1 Course Content

    • What is food hygiene?
    • Reasons for food hygiene.
    • List the legal responsibilities of a food worker.
    • Personal hygiene.
    • Cleaning & cleaning schedules.
    • Pest Infestation

Certification

On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate titled “HACCP Level 1 Training” which will be awarded by Guardian Safety. This Cert will be valid for 3 years.

We issue a digital certification & all certificates are kept on file and can be resent if misplaced.

Refresher training is recommended at intervals of not greater than 3 years

Prerequisets

All participants must be fluent in English.

You will need a PC, Laptop, Smartphone, etc. with audio & Internet. Ensure a browser is running correctly (Google Chrome, firefox, etc)

Number of Participants Per Course for in person training

The maximum number of users per in-person course is 12.
