Manual Handling Certificate

Do you need to take a refresher course in order for your manual handling certificate to stay in date? Here at Guardian Safety, we offer a range of manual handling refresher courses which will all be able to provide you with the most up to date information you are expected to know. To find out more about these courses please visit our website today.

In general manual handling, refresher training is recommended at intervals no greater than three years and this is also your certification validity period. Once you have completed your refresher training you will receive a new Guardian Safety manual handling certificate which will be dated with your new pass date. Our manual handling course consists of a theory test, followed by a practical assessment, both of which will need to be passed to receive your manual handling certificate.

All staff that engage in manual handling activities such as lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing within their working role must be given training in the safe moving of loads. This training is essential to comply with Part 4 Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulation 2007, Manual Handling of Loads. Manual handling is a practical activity and both good and poor techniques are best demonstrated by a live practical session carried out by a member of our team with trainees being involved. You will get to practice with assessments and demonstrate the best posture and stance as well as learning how to optimise your centre of gravity to best effect. All of the knowledge that you will gain from our courses will help you to stay safe when carrying out various manual handling tasks at your workplace.

When you choose to come to Guardian Safety to gain your manual handling certificate you know that you are in safe hands.
